Lake Mountain’s snowfields, situated about 2 hours drive north-east of Melbourne, offer a range of cross country skiing and snowplay activities for visitors of all ages.

Marysville is the closest town to Lake Mountain, about 22 km away.

Access to the mountain is possible for motor vehicles of all types, although wheel chains may be required for 2WD vehicles depending on conditions. Excellent bus services are also available to transport visitors to the snowfields.

The Lake Mountain resort has several kilometers of patrolled ski trails and toboggan slopes, with groomed and ungroomed trails to suit all cross-country skiing standards.

Snow play and sightseeing is available and easily accessible at many locations near the car park. Snow- making on the toboggan slope ensures that there is snow available for snowplay throughout snow season.

The Lake Mountain resort offers organized activities for children.

The Visitor Centre has hot food and drinks at reasonable rates. The centre is open 8.30am to 5.00pm weekdays and 8.00am to 5.00pm weekends and public holidays.
